![]() Forged in South Buffalo steel, and trained in the arts of whiskey and lager, The Pug Mahones are an all-original rock band from Western New York. Playing a musical style dubbed "Pirate Rock" (partially due to the unique singing voice of front man Mike Jordan), the band plays punk and metal tunes with a harsh attitude and a distinct Irish flavor provided by fiddle/mandolin player Kristin Prohaska. The backbone for the songs are built by two amazing local talents -- Kelly Jordan, who positively hammers on drums and never skips a beat, Chris Gugliuzza, who writes a better bass line than you'll hear anywhere else this side of the Mason Dixon. The boys can be found playing at most of Buffalo's watering holes, but you'd better bring some whiskey money -- they don't play just for the pride and adoration, after all.
